Individual Therapy

Individual sessions focus on the partnership between therapist and client, and it will require very active involvement from both you and me. You and I will work to explore and understand what brought you to this point in your life, define the problem areas to be worked on, and participate in therapeutic activities to help you make the changes you desire.

Couples Therapy

Human nature drives us towards relationships with others, which can bring us love, joy, and connection. Yet, relationships take work from each person involved. The focus of couples therapy is the couple, not an individual within the relationship. Therefore, couples sessions provide a space for clients to explore together individual thoughts, feelings, and actions in order to uncover destructive patterns and replace those with healthy communication and actions.

Family Therapy

When individual concerns reach into the family unit, family therapy can be beneficial. From my experience, I generally start with individual sessions then may transition into family therapy as familial concerns arise. If family therapy is where your journey starts, then that is where we will begin our work.

Activity Therapy

Activity based therapy allows teens to process and explore their presenting concerns through a creative perspective. Therapeutic activities may involve games, sports, music, art, and crafts.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form a therapy that can facilitate healing from traumatic experiences. EMDR utilizes bilateral eye stimulation to access and reprocess trauma. If you have questions about EMDR, please contact me here or check out a further description of EMDR here.

MATERNAL Mental Health

The perinatal period includes both prenatal and postpartum times. Depression, anxiety, and other conditions can onset or symptoms may increase during this time. I have specialized training in working with families as they navigate this phase of life. I also focus on the challenges that can arise while trying to conceive and transitioning to and through parenthood.
